CCSPC Graduate Faculty and Students Attend the 2019 Philippine Society of Public Administration International Conference

       Today| Dr. Saidamin P. Bagolong, Dean of Graduate College and Dr. Mhd. Faheem M. Aliuden, faculty member of Graduate College are attending the 2019 Philippine Society of Public Administration International Conference with the theme "Exploring Frontiers in Governance 4.0 and SDGs: Development, Directions, and Dysfunctions" from November 7 to 9, 2019 at the Development Academy of the Philippines, Tagaytay, Philippines.

       The conference is organized by the Philippine  Society of Public Administration in partnerships with the Asian Politics and Policy, Asian Association of Public Administration, Development Academy of the Philippines, Graduate School of Public and Development Management, Cavite State University, University of Makati, Philippine University of the Philippines, UPNCPAG,  Provincial Government of Cavite, De La Salle College of Saint Benilde, and Philippine Councilors' League of the Philippines. 

       This year's conference serves as an enabling  platform for discussion, collaboration and learning among public administration scholars and practitioners, allowing them to explore strategic, evidence-based and innovative ways and mechanisms to respond effectively to diverse challenges. Further, it will stimulate debate and conversation on the role of the government and other sectors in responding to governance "dysfunctions" and in developing solutions and directions geared towards development.

       Joining them are  Dr. Bai Queen D. Piang, Ph.D Public Administration alumna and Ms. Siettie Amina M. Abdulazis, Ph.D-Public Administration student. Dr. Piang will present her dissertation entitled "Effectiveness of Anti-Drug Abuse Preventive Strategies and Measures of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in South Central Mindanao" under Panel 10-Public Policy Issues while Ms. Abdulazis will present her thesis entitled "Risk Management Principles, Framework and Processes in Compliance to ISO 9001:2015 Certification of the Office of the Regional Governor-ARMM" under Panel 14-Challenges in Local Governance.

       Dr. Piang is the advisee of Dr. Bagolong while Ms. Abdulazis is Dr. Aliuden's advisee. Also, Dr. Aliuden will present his dissertation entitled "Management Operation of Metro Cotabato Water District, Cotabato City, Philippines" under Panel 3-Issues and Challenges in Governance. 

       The Philippine Society of Public Administration (PSPA) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to the improvement of public service since 1981. It provides opportunity to build a strong professional network with the other social scientists, policy makers and school administrators involved in education and training in public administration. //Saidamin P.
