The Graduate College students came in their best denim outfits during the acquaintance party held on November 23, 2019 at the Robinson's Hall, Mall of Alnor, Cotabato City. The party started at 3:00pm and was hosted by Nash Amil and Ana Marie Sebandal.
This annual event aims to promote camaraderie both old and new students including faculty members so they will be acquainted with one another. At the same time, this will serve as an avenue for all GeeCees to have fun and temporarily set aside their assignments, thesis and dissertation requirements.
Ebrahim Aloy, PhD candidate, opened the event with a dua'a followed by Jidday Lucman, MPA student for the acknowledgment of participants. Meanwhile Rosslaini Alonto-Sinarimbo, President-Graduate College Student Organization, gave her opening remarks. Her speech focused on the developments of the Graduate College, theme of the party, and extending her gratitude to all who supported her as GCSO president for 3 consecutive years. She also thanked Sharifa R. Idjirani, GCSO Vice President for taking charge of the event despite of her busy schedule, and all other activities of the organization.
The participants were entertained by a live band performance of the PNP-PRO BARMM Band. Surprisingly, Dr. Abubacar Datumanong, faculty of Peace and Development Program did an amazing performance as he rendered two love songs that captured the hearts of the many. Other performers include Mohammad Fahad, Abdullah Panot, Ma. Victoria Balatucan and Vincent Cuales who all did a redoubled intermission.
The party ended with the selection of the winners for the Mr. and Ms. Denim it with style Model. To the Graduate College-GCSO, congratulations to a successful event. Your party rocks! // Saidamin P. Bagolong, DPA
